Gujarat Titans retains Hardik Pandya

In a surprising move, Gujarat Titans has retained allrounder Hardik Pandya. There have been huge speculations that Gujarat Titans have traded Hardik Pandya for Rs. 15 Crores. This speculation came as a surprise and everyone started to believe that it is true. Even the media confirmed the news including the top cricket experts like Harsha Bhogle.

However, amid all those chaos, Gujarat Titans have retained Hardik Pandya for the next year’s IPL. The retention list of all the teams have been announced by the respective franchises and Hardik Pandya didn’t move to Mumbai Indians as speculated.

Hardik Pandya moved to Gujarat Titans in 2021 IPL and captained the side to title victory. In the next year, the franchise yet again reached the final. Hardik Pandya prior to that played for Mumbai Indians under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

Hardik Pandya was a part of the winning titles for the franchise in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.
