US Embassy’s new regulations
The United States Embassy in India will implement changes in the student visa application. These changes will come into effect from 27th November, 2023. These changes will be applicable in all the embassies across India. F, M, and J student visa applications should note the changes. On the social media platform, the official handle of the US Embassy in India stated that all F, M, and J student visa applicants must use their passport information while creating a profile and scheduling their visa appointment.
The US Embassy also revealed that those who have already created a profile or booked an appointment using an incorrect passport number should create a new profile.
The US Embassy also said that if an old passport was lost or stolen, a photocopy of the old one would be required for a US visa appointment for admission.
