Virat Kohli the Modern Era great has achieved the unthinkable. Virat Kohli today crossed the overall ODI Centuries record made by Sachin Tendulkar. Virat Kohli in the ongoing match against New Zealand, in the semifinal, has scored an incredible century. This is his 50th ODI and he scored in front of the master Sachin Tendulkar. This century came at a very crucial time, in the semifinals, where his average was not so good.

Winning the toss, Rohit Sharma without any second thought has chosen to bat first. Yet again, Rohit Sharma gave India a powerful start and scored another 40s in a quick time. Shubhman Gill and Virat Kohli continued the good work.

Gill went down in the Mumbai heat, but Shreyas Iyer joined Virat Kohli, and the scoreboard kept running. In the process, both Kohli and Iyer completed their respective centuries. Virat Kohli has also scored the most runs in a single edition of the World Cup. As a result, India scored 397 runs by the end of 50 overs.
