PM Narendra Modi to attend final match in Ahmedabad
India has reached the final in the World Cup 2023. India beat New Zealand by 70 runs in the first Semifinal that was played in Wankhede Stadium, the other day. India will be playing the final match in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The winner of Australia and South Africa will play the final in Ahmedabad.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to attend the final match that is going to be played on Sunday. Modi last attended a cricket match when India took on Australia in the fourth test of the lastly concluded Border Gavaskar Trophy. The Ahmedabad Cricket Stadium is named after the PM himself, Narendra Modi Stadium.
After the semifinal match against New Zealand, Modi hailed the performances of Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami. “Today’s Semi-Final has been even more special thanks to stellar individual performances too. The bowling by Mohammad Shami in this game and also through the World Cup will be cherished by cricket lovers for generations to come,” tweeted Modi.
