Hardik makes it official; Shubman Gill named GT captain

Gujarat Titans has completed the trade with Mumbai Indians regarding Hardik Pandya. He was traded to his former franchise for Rs. 15 Crores. Hardik started his cricketing journey with IPL and that too with Mumbai Indians. In the year 2021, when Gujarat Titans were introduced into the league, Hardik Pandya was named the captain. He was instrumental in bringing the trophy to GT in its inaugural season.

Also, the previous year, Gujarat Titans reached finals and unfortunately couldn’t cross the line. In a surprising move, Mumbai Indians started negotiations with Gujarat Titans and traded Hardik Pandya for Rs. 15 Crores. He was on the retention list of Gujarat Titans but that was to trade him to Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians on the other hand, traded Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Now, Hardik Pandya has made the news official. He posted a picture of himself in the Mumbai Indians jersey. With Hardik leaving the franchise, GT made Shubman Gill the next captain.
