The Hong Kong Telugu Federation (THKTS) organized ‘Diwali-2023’ celebrations which turned out as a feast for the eyes. The families of members of the association participated in the ceremony held at the India Club. Founding President Jaya Peesapati welcomed the attendees with the opening speech. She said, “NRIs conducting events like these brings more happiness and it gives the feeling that there is some moral support for all of us who are living away from the home country,” she said.
She further said that it feels like we are back in India, by looking at the kind of these celebrations. She said that everyone worked together to make the program a grand success. Members of the working group thanked Rajasekhar Manne, Ramadevi Saranga, Harin Tummala, Ramesh Reniguntla, Madhuri Aravapalli, and others. Cultural programs that followed entertained the crowd.
Radhika Sambatur and Radhika Nutalapati acted as anchors for the program and impressed. Dr. Mohan Bhaskarabhatla, a medical expert who has been living in Hong Kong for more than three decades, and his wife Surya took everyone by surprise. Then group photos and selfies were taken. The program ended with the National Anthem of India.
