Gaddam Prasad Kumar chosen as TS Assembly Speaker

Gaddam Prasad Kumar new speaker of Telangana assembly

Anumula Revanth Reddy has taken oath as the new Chief Minister of Telangana. Along with him, a few of the Congress leaders will be taking up ministerial positions as well. While a list is being circulated, suspense around the new assembly speaker has built up. Everyone thought that Tummala Nageshwara Rao would be given the chance but it was not to be.

The Congress high command has chosen Gaddam Prasad Kumar as the new assembly speaker. He was elected from the Vikarabad constituency. He won against the BRS candidate Dr. Anand Methuku. While Prasad Kumar got 86,885 votes, Anand Methuku was confined to second position with 73992 votes.

More clarity regarding the ministerial positions will be out any time soon.
