Animal became a topic of discussion in Rajya Sabha
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest movie Animal became a topic of discussion on many platforms. The movie was liked by some, and hated by some but the movie can’t be ignored. There are many controversial things touched on in this movie again as Kabir Singh’s toxic masculinity came into the picture. The debate has now gone to the Rajya Sabha. Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan today in Rajya Sabha shared her concerns about the film.
She said that her daughter was deeply affected by the movie. Ranjeet Ranjan expressed that cinema is a mirror of society. “We have grown up watching cinema and it can influence youth. We have seen films like Kabir Singh, Pushpa, and now Animal. My daughter went to the movie with her friends and walked out midway. She couldn’t stop crying,” said Ranjeet Ranjan.
In her speech, the MP highlighted the portrayal of violence towards the women in the movie. She also raised objections to using Arjan Vailly, a Punjabi war anthem when the film’s protagonist engages in violence.
