ACB Court rejects AP CID’s warrants against Nara Chandrababu Naidu
AP CID has today faced a setback after the ACB Court rejected the two warrants filed by the agency to interrogate TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. These warrants were filed by AP CID when CBN was in Rajahmundry Central Jail related to the Inner Ring Road Scam and Fibernet Case. AP CID alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was directly involved in these cases when he was the Chief Minister of the state.
However, the ACB Court rejected the two warrants stating that there is no need for interrogation as CBN was on regular bail. On November 20, Chandrababu Naidu was granted regular bail and it came into effect on November 29th. The High Court gave an exemption to CBN to participate in political rallies and meetings as well.
AP CID alleges that CBN along with P Narayana and Nara Lokesh played a crucial role in changing the alignment of the Inner Ring Road benefiting Lingamaneni Ramesh and Heritage Foods. It also alleges that CBN has gone out of his way and benefited Terra Soft Company which was banned by the state government earlier.
