pilot program of H1B visa renewal takes off

It is very well known that the United States has started the pilot program of renewing the H-1B visas. This program benefits the H-1B visa holders such that they needn’t visit India or other countries for the renewal. In this first stage of the pilot program, only Canadians and Indians were given this opportunity.

According to the US State Department, this pilot program has kickstarted starting from January 29th. As part of this, 20,000 visas will be renewed in America. The program is available for five weeks. Visas will be renewed every week at the rate of 4 thousand. Only visas issued by Mission Canada between January 1, 2020, and April 1, 2023, and visas issued by Mission India between February 1, 2021, and September 30, 2021, are allowed to be renewed.

When Indian Prime Minister Modi visited the United States in June last year, the Biden government promised to restore H-1B visas in the ace nation. As a result, the latest pilot program has been made available.
