The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that took place on April 22, resulting in the death of at least 26 people and injuring many others.
In a press statement issued by France, which holds the Council presidency for April, the 15-member body described the attack as a “reprehensible act of terrorism” and called for the perpetrators, organisers, financiers, and sponsors to be brought to justice.
The Council urged all nations to cooperate with relevant authorities, in accordance with international law and Security Council resolutions, to ensure accountability for those behind the attack.
