The Telugu Association of London (TAL) successfully hosted the highly anticipated TAL National Badminton Championship 2025 on Sunday at the UEL Sports & Athletics Centre. The tournament witnessed intense competition and sportsmanship, with over 200 participants competing across multiple categories.
Matches were held in Men’s Doubles, 40+ Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Under-16 Girls’ Doubles. The event brought together the Telugu diaspora in the UK for a day filled with energy, camaraderie, and spirited competition.
TAL Chairman Ravi Sabba applauded the participants for their sportsmanship and appreciated the efforts of TAL in uniting the community through such sporting events. He also extended his gratitude to all the sponsors for their support.
The event was coordinated by Sudhakar Gubbala, Balaji Kallur, Anil Ananthula (Trustee – Membership & Admin), Sridevi Alledulla (Trustee – Cultural), Sindhura Reddy (Women’s Sports In-charge), Sathya Pedireddy (Sports In-charge), Giridhar Putlur (Former Trustee), Krishna Nuthalapati, Anil Reddy, Divya Reddy, among others.
Miss Asritha Kolluru was honored with the prestigious Emerging Player of the Year 2025 award for her outstanding performance.
