Congress senior leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today made some interesting comments on the Andhra Pradesh Special Status. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is always known for speaking his heart out. He has today commented on the neighboring state Andhra Pradesh. He said that AP should be given the special status category.

He said that at the time of bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh was promised the special status category by the Manmohan Singh government. Not implementing this is not a good sign, he said. Komatiredy brother further said that he would fight in his capacity for AP to achieve the status.

The Congress veteran leader made these comments in New Delhi. He was recently appointed as the Cinematography, Roads & Buildings Minister for Telangana. Recently, Congress came to power in Telangana and the minister making these comments has gained prominence.

However, it should be noted that the BJP made it clear that assigning a special status category to Andhra Pradesh is a finished thing.
