Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy disclosed the non-payment of power bills in the state. The topic came up during the discussion of the white paper regarding the power sector in Telangana. He said that Siddipet, Gajwel, and Hyderabad South are on top of the non-payment of the power bills.
Revanth Reddy said that Siddipet was on top with 61.37 percent dues followed by Gajwel with 50.29 dues and Hyderabad South was in the third position with 43 percent dues to the power distribution companies.
Revanth Reddy in the assembly asked Siddipet MLA Harish Rao, Gajwel MLA and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, and AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi to take responsibility for clearing the electricity dues in their respective constituencies.
Former Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy in the assembly said that BRS is successful in providing a 24-hour power supply to the farmers. However, Revanth Reddy quickly shot back at the former minister and pointed out examples.
