Former Congress president and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has urged Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to bring in the Rohith Vemula Act. The proposed legislation aims to address caste-based discrimination in educational institutions.
Gandhi said the Act would ensure that “no child of India has to face what B.R. Ambedkar, Rohith Vemula, and a million others have had to endure.” His appeal comes amid renewed calls for justice and institutional reform in the wake of ongoing student activism and social justice movements.
