Rahul Gandhi Set for US Visit Amid Political Buzz
Congress leader and Lok Sabha Opposition head Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the United States on April 21 and 22, as confirmed by party spokesperson Pawan Khera. During his trip, he will visit the prestigious Brown University in Rhode Island, where he will interact with students and faculty members on topics likely to include education, politics, and social issues.
In addition to the academic engagement, Rahul Gandhi will meet with members of the Indian diaspora, including representatives from the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC). These discussions are expected to cover issues faced by the Indian community abroad and their role in India’s development.
Rahul Gandhi’s international visits often draw significant attention back home. His previous US tour in 2023 sparked controversy due to remarks on religious freedom and reservation policies, leading to criticism from the BJP. With elections approaching, his current visit is seen as a strategic move to strengthen his global outreach and shape the political narrative.
