The OTT giant Netflix has seen positive results for the fourth quarter of 2023. Netflix added 13.1 Million subscribers around the world which easily exceeds the expectations of 8 to 9 Million subscribers. This streaming platform now has a total of 260.8 Million subscribers which is the largest base in the OTT world.
After the fourth quarter results of Netflix were officially out, the shares went up. The company posted revenue of $8.83 billion for the quarter while the net income of 937.8 million USD for the year was reported. Netflix shares were up 8.3% in after-hours trading. The stock gained 65% during 2023.
The streaming giant in a statement said that it expects healthy double-digit revenue growth for the full year. It will be a huge sigh of relief for Netflix to see profits after struggling for the past couple of years. Netflix’s password-sharing cutdown has worked wonders and now the OTT giant is bringing out WWE streaming next year. To generate more revenue, Netflix is also thinking of bringing out ad-support tiers.
