Netflix bets big on Telugu biggies; grabs Devara and #NBK109 rights

Netflix grabs Devara and Balakrishna’s film

The OTT giant Netflix is quite aggressive in grabbing the OTT rights of the Telugu biggies. We have seen Netflix bagging the digital rights of recent Telugu big releases Salaar and Guntur Kaaram. The OTT release dates of these movies will be out very soon.

Today, Netflix announced that they have acquired the digital rights of the craziest Pan-Indian film Devara that stars NTR Jr in the lead role. The film is scheduled for April 5th, 2024 release. Devara will release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.

Along with that, Netflix has also acquired the OTT rights of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film which is being referred to as #NBK109. It is said that Netflix has shelled out huge numbers in grabbing the OTT rights of these movies. Also, Vijay Deverakonda – Gautham Tinnanuri’s upcoming film’s OTT rights were grabbed by Netflix as well. With big films in their ranks, Netflix is looking to boss the Telugu market in the digital space.
