The election fever has caught up big time in India. The general elections are going to be held in India in seven phases where already the first phase is completed and the second phase is gearing up to be conducted in a couple of days. With Lok Sabha elections being conducted, a large number of NRIs are traveling to India to cast their votes.

Kerala is going to witness the elections on April 26th. For this, almost 22K NRIs reached Kerala in the last couple of days and the number is going to increase today and tomorrow. Lakhs of people go to Gulf countries from Kerala. According to the statistics of the Election Commission, 89,839 people have registered as NRI voters in the state.

The political parties have campaigned for the NRI voters as well. They traveled to foreign destinations and did political campaigns to attract voters. They requested the NRI voters to come to India to cast their votes.
