KTR on kaleshwaram project
Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao has responded to the criticism the Kaleshwaram project has been facing in recent times. The opposition parties have taken this as an opportunity to lambast the ruling party. They allege that the Kaleshwaram project is nothing but a huge scam.
KTR has now reacted to these comments. He urged not to paint Kaleshwaram in a bad way for their political existence. “Kaleshwaram is Telangana’s pride,” said KTR. He emphasized the project’s significance. He highlighted the Kaleshwaram project’s components; three barrages, 20 reservoirs, and 20 lifts.
In his defense, he mentioned that any huge project like Kaleshwaram could face such problems and they can be rectified at the earliest. He brought out the names like Prakasham, Dhawaleshwaram, and Kadem. He said that these projects have faced problems in one way or the other. KTR also said that even the Nagarjuna Sagar project has faced leakage problems.
He urged the opposition parties not to defame Kaleshwaram for their political gains.
