Rohit Sharma to lead in T20 World Cup

The ambiguity regarding Rohit Sharma in the shortest form of cricket has been removed by Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary. In an event, Jay Shah made it clear that India will win the upcoming T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain. The T20 World Cup will be played later this year in Carribean.

“I can assure you that India will win the T20 World Cup in Barbados on June 29th under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy,” he said. Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium was renamed as the Niranjan Shah Stadium. Along with Rohit Sharma, and Rahul Dravid, a few of the Indian cricketers attended the event.

Jay Shah has also said that he will be writing to all the players tomorrow to participate in domestic cricket. He confirmed that this directive applies to all fit and young players. Shah has also mentioned that the new selector would be appointed very soon.
