England’s senior spinner Jack Leach has been ruled out of the rest of the test series against India after failing to recover from a knee injury. Jack Leach missed the second test for the same reason and now he is going to miss the entire series. The left-arm spinner damaged his left knee while fielding on the first day of the first test that was played in Hyderabad. The injury got bigger on the second day morning.
Jack Leach could only bowl a maximum of four over spells in the first test due to the swelling of the knee. The England team management believed that the 10-day break between the second and the third day was quite sufficient for the left-arm spinner to recover in time.
However, following further assessment in Abu Dhabi, Leach has decided to return home for further treatment which means he is going to miss the remainder of the test series.
