IPL: Third CSK player down with injury
The Indian Premier League’s latest edition is all set to kickstart on March 22nd. The first phase of the IPL 17 will have 22 matches to be played. The schedule for the next set of matches is yet to be announced. The first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Ahead of the start of the IPL, injury concerns are growing for Chennai Super Kings, one of the top-rated franchises in IPL. Already, Devon Conway and Matheesha Pathirana are down with injuries and are set to miss this season’s League. Now, Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been injured as well. He has been picked as a replacement for Matheesha.
During today’s game against Sri Lanka, Mustafizur was down with an injury and he was taken out of the field on a stretcher. He is currently undergoing tests. It is not known at the moment, whether he will miss a set of matches or the complete season.
