RCB playoff chances in IPL 2024
Looks like the playoffs hunt for Royal Challengers Bangalore is done and dusted. RCB could only manage to win 1 match in their 8 matches so far. All they could go for is a maximum of 14 points if they win all their remaining 6 matches which means they are virtually out of the playoffs race but mathematically they are still hanging around.
Now, let us see how they could go to the playoffs. First thing, RCB had to win all their remaining matches and they had to win big as their current NRR is negative. This includes the high-voltage clash with SRH which would be played tomorrow.
Second, RCB should pray that not more than three teams should reach 14 points. Already, Rajasthan Royals reached 14 points and their playoffs spot is all but secured. SRH and KKR are on 10 points each with 5 wins. On the other hand, teams like MI, DC, and GT are still trying their chances. So, it is going to be a tough ask for RCB to qualify.
