IPL 2024: CSK registers a massive win over GT

CSK wins against GT by 63 runs

One of the most successful franchises in the last two years, Gujarat Titans today faced its massive defeat against the Chennai Super Kings. Under the new leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK is flying high. Batting first, Chennai Super Kings made a massive score of 206 in its 20 overs.

Rachin Ravindra who is playing his first IPL has scored a fluent 46 in just 20 balls. Shivam Dube continued the momentum and scored an impressive 51 in just 23 balls. There is good support from all corners and as a result, CSK posted a daunting total.

Chasing such a huge score, GT didn’t get a perfect opening. After losing Shubhman Gill in the third over, GT never looked like giving a competition to the total. All the CSK bowlers have chipped in with wickets. Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur, and Tushar Deshpande took two wickets each, while Daryl Mitchell and Matheesha Pathirana picked one wicket each. As a result, Gujarat Titans could only post 143 runs in its 20 overs losing the game by 63 runs. With this loss, GT was down to sixth place.
