India Bans 16 Pakistan-Based YouTube Channels for Spreading Fake News on Kashmir Terror Attack

The Indian government has banned 16 YouTube channels based in Pakistan for spreading misinformation regarding a recent terrorist attack in Kashmir. Acting on the recommendation of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting took action against the channels for promoting false narratives that could incite unrest and mislead the public. Officials stated that the content posed a threat to national security and public order. The ban is part of India’s ongoing efforts to curb disinformation and hostile propaganda originating from across the border.
