SP Charan’s legal battle on Tharun Bhascker

The AI revolution has caught up with the trend and for the first time in the Telugu Cinema, it was used. The Keeda Cola team made use of the AI trend, legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s voice was generated through AI technology and used for a song in the movie Keeda Cola which comes at a crucial juncture.

SP Balu’s son SP Charan is disappointed with the use of the legendary singer’s voice in the movie without any formal approval. He or his family wasn’t approached before using the voice. He has taken the legal route. SP Charan is demanding an official apology, Rs. 1 Crores as compensation, and a share in royalties.

Tharun Bhascker and his team will have to face legal consequences now. While the usage of AI technology seems to be quite interesting, the legal consequences are going to be tough on the side.
