Ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League latest edition, Mumbai Indians met the press. Mumbai Indians’ new captain Hardik Pandya and coach Mark Boucher attended the press and answered questions. Unsurprisingly, most of the questions revolved around Rohit Sharma, MI’s most successful coach under whom the franchise won 5 IPL titles.
Hardik Pandya was asked whether he met Rohit Sharma and spoke about the captaincy change. Hardik answered no. “I haven’t seen him in a couple of months. Off late he is traveling a lot. We are all professionals. By the time he comes in, we will have a chat,” he said.
The new captain further said that Rohit Sharma will always be there for him with or without captaincy. “It won’t be any different because he will be there to help out whenever I need him. I have played for 10 years under him and I know he is going to have his hand on my shoulders throughout the season,” added Hardik.
