Telugu Association of Canada Sankranthi festival
Sankranthi festival celebrations are organized by the Telugu Alliances of Canada. TACA President Ramesh Munukuntla inaugurated the celebrations. In these celebrations held in Toronto, Canada, more than 600 NRIs participated with their families and celebrated the Sankranti celebrations in a grand manner.
General Secretary Prasanna Kumar Tiruchirappalli invited the attendees. The program started with the lighting of Jyothi by Dhanalakshmi Munukuntla, Visharada Patira, Swapna Thiram Dasu, Anita Sajja and Sruthi Eluri. As part of the Sankranti celebrations, Manjunath blessed all the children with bhogi fruits. On this occasion, Ramesh Munukuntla, Foundation Committee Chairman Arun Kumar Layam, Trustee Board Chairman Suresh Koona released the TACA 2024 Calendar prepared with Telugu thithis and Nakshatras according to North American Eastern Time and handed it over to the audience.
Later, former Minister of Ontario State Deepika Damerla, Chief Founder Hanumanthachari Samanthapudi, Prasanna Kumar, Arun Kumar Layam, Suresh Kuna and ex-officio members addressed the audience. Those who acted as committee members between 2021-23 were felicitated with mementos.
