The Central government has started a nationwide awareness campaign to explain the aims of the new Waqf-related law, focusing on transparency, justice, and inclusive growth. Union Minister Mr. Singh said the legislation will especially help Muslim women, poor Muslims, and Pasmanda communities, protecting their rights and giving them a stronger voice.
While the law has triggered legal debate over Waqf property rules, the government is planning town halls, workshops, and door-to-door outreach to connect with communities. Events will include religious leaders, professionals, women activists, youth, and media figures.
A national workshop was held on April 10, and State-level events are scheduled from April 15 to 19, supported by social media campaigns and local interactions by MPs and MLAs.
