Glass tumbler symbol to Non-JSP candidates: A big blow?

In a major twist to the Jana Sena and its alliance Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janata Party… glass tumbler symbol has been allocated to Non-JSP candidates by the state Election Commission. It is very well known that Jana Sena has been given the Glass Tumbler symbol and all the 21 Assembly and 2 Parliament candidates from Jana Sena will be contesting on that symbol.

However, in the seats where Jana Sena is not contesting, the glass tumbler symbol has been allocated to independents, rebels, and other unrecognized candidates. This will give an unruly advantage to these non-JSP candidates and also affect the prospects of the alliance whether it is TDP or BJP.

There will be a high risk that people might confuse the glass symbol with the JSP symbol from that constituency and vote for it instead of the cycle or lotus. So far, it has come to the notice that as many as 50 candidates have a glass tumbler as their election symbol. We have to wait and see whether this will turn out as an advantage.
