The Telangana government will host the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards (GTFA) on June 14, reviving state film awards after 14 years. Renamed in memory of revolutionary poet Gaddar, the awards celebrate excellence in Telugu and Urdu cinema.
The award guidelines were framed by veteran filmmaker B. Narsing Rao, ensuring a focus on cultural and artistic values. Actress Jayasudha leads the 15-member jury, with over 1,000 entries being reviewed.
Organized by the Telangana Film Development Corporation, the event will include Lifetime Achievement Awards and honors like the NTR National Film Award.
