Musk’s comments came in response to reports of significant electoral fraud in Puerto Rico, allegedly involving EVMs. He raised concerns over the security of these machines, highlighting the potential risks to democratic processes.

In India, too, several political parties have voiced their objections to the use of EVMs, citing doubts about their reliability. However, the Election Commission of India has consistently defended the integrity of EVMs, assuring the public that these machines are secure and cannot be tampered with.
