Due to this effect, companies and organizations collapsed like piles of rubble. Many companies had to approach layoffs for the better though it shows bad signs on the economy. * ‘DOLLAR TREE’ is an American multi-price point chain of discount variety stores in America that has closed 1000 of its stores.

* Walgreens is an American company with a history of 123 years. It operates the second-largest pharmacy store chain in the United States after CVS Health. It closed 900 of its stores due to economic recession.

* Macy’s is a store with a history of 165 years. Roland Hussey founded it in 1858. It closed 150 of its stores.

* GAP, a popular clothing brand, also had to close close to 350 stores.

* Popular food store Burger King had to close more than 400 stores in the USA alone.

* Regal Cinemas, a popular multiplex chain has closed almost 429 locations recently.

* Kroger is an American retail company that operates supermarkets and multi-department stores across the US. It closed 413 of its stores.
