Earthquake Strikes Taiwan with 5.0 Magnitude

Taiwan was shaken by a series of earthquakes, with a significant tremor measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale. The earthquake struck near the capital, Taipei, causing panic among residents. People rushed out of buildings as the ground trembled for several seconds. According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the quake was located 21 kilometers southeast of Yilan, at a depth of 69 kilometers.

This comes after a series of earthquakes earlier this month on April 3rd and 4th, and follows a devastating earthquake in Thailand and Myanmar on March 28th. The situation in Taiwan is being closely monitored.
