Dhruv Jurel picked for England tests
Uncapped 22-year-old Wicket-Keeper batsman Dhruv Jurel has been picked for the first two tests against England that will be played in Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam. The 16-man squad was announced a while back and Dhruv Jurel was a surprise pick. However, there is no sign of Ishan Kishan who recently missed out on the T20I series.
Coach Rahul Dravid recently spoke on Ishan Kishan’s exclusion. He said that Ishan Kishan requested the break and he will have to play domestic cricket and make himself available again. Mukesh Kumar who recently impressed with his bowling kept his position in the test squad along with Avesh Khan.
Prasidh Krishna missed out on the squad with a left quadriceps injury he picked up during the ongoing Ranji Trophy. Mohammed Shami is recovering from an ankle injury and he misses out as well.
