Australian beach tragedy takes 4 Indians’ lives

In one of the biggest beach tragedies in the history of Victoria, Australia since 2005, four Indians lost their lives due to drowning in the beach. As per the reports, four Indians who belong to an extended family went on the unpatrolled regions of the Phillip Island beach in Victoria. A woman in her 40s, two women in their 20s, and another man in his 20s went to the island and unfortunately drowned but no one didn’t know how.

Off-duty lifeguards surfing at the unpatrolled regions of Forrest Caves were the first to rush to identify them. However, unfortunately, three of them were declared dead on the spot despite performing CPR. Another woman was airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in critical condition. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries.

The Indian High Commission in Canberra issued an official statement on this tragic incident and said that it was a heartbreaking tragedy. The High Commission assured all assistance to the family and friends of the deceased.
