The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has granted technical clearance for the proposed Ongole Airport. A total of 1,016 acres will be acquired for the project. Of this, ₹115 crore has been sanctioned for acquiring 280 acres, while the remaining 736 acres are categorized as “Vampik lands.” The project marks a significant step toward enhancing regional air connectivity in Andhra Pradesh.
