The ruling party YSRCP has today sought the disqualification of 4 MLAs and two MLCs for rebelling against the party. As the elections are fast approaching, YSRCP made this move to get the MLAs and MLCs disqualified so that they can’t vote for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections for three seats.

The term of YSR Congress MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, BJP MP, C M Ramesh, and TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar is going to be ended on April 2nd, 2024. The election for these three seats will be held in March.

YSRCP sent the required letters to the Assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram and Legislative Council chairman Koyye Moshen Raju seeking the disqualification of MLAs Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Undavalli Sridevi, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy.

It can be remembered that the stated MLAs have allegedly cross-voted to TDP in the MLC elections from the legislative assembly.
