YS Sharmila arrested in Vijayawada

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagamohan Reddy’s sister YS Sharmila has been arrested in the state. The Vijayawada Police made the arrest a short while ago and currently, there is no clarity on which Police Station Sharmila is being taken to. Huge protests resulted in the arrest of Sharmila.

The State Congress leader has called for a massive protest in the name of the Chalo Secretariat regarding the mega DSC notification. She started the rally at Vijayawada Andhraratna Bhavan and went on a rally towards the secretariat.

The Vijayawada Police cited the law and order issue and the situation got tense after a heated argument between AP Police and Sharmila. After a few minutes of argument, Sharmila was taken into custody. She was forcefully carried into the Police vehicle and moved from there. Congress leaders and supporters are opposing the arrest of YS Sharmila.
