With the election fever caught up in the nation, different strategies are being implemented by political parties to attract voters. However, there is this blue media which is habituated to take personal and derogatory digs at the viral parties. A couple of days back, the blue media wrote an article the headline, “Gramalloki Gunta Nakkalu” (Cunning foxes into villages). The article covers the NRIs coming back to India to exercise their votes.
The article has taken a severe backlash from various communities. Especially the NRI community is deeply hurt by the way they projected them. A spokesperson representing the NRIs severely condemned the article and stated that they should take the words back.
“NRIs are helping a lot to the country. They are helping in different ways for the progress of the country. Making derogatory comments against them is not in a good frame. NRIs don’t belong to one caste. They come from different caste, creed, and religion. The blue media has to remember that all the NRIs don’t support a single party. There are TDP supporters, Jana Sena supporters, and even YCP supporters as well. Before commenting on the NRIs one should check how to use the language,” said the spokesperson.
