no notable releases this weekend too
Usually, the Summer season is said to be one of the active ones for Tollywood. Usually, 2-3 biggies are released in the Summer season but the case is not the same this year. The election fever has caught up big time and in addition to that the IPL fever is continuing. Every day, there is a match in the evening which eats up the evening and night shows.
Due to elections and IPL, producers aren’t daring to release their movies this season, and hence the dull phase is continuing. This weekend too there isn’t a notable release. Vishal’s Rathnam was released this weekend and sadly, not many know about it. The talk of the movie is disastrous as well. The opening collections are dismal and it will end up as one of the biggest disasters of dubbing movies.
With no options left, the Telugu audiences are encouraging Malayalam films Manjummel Boys and Aavesham. These movies are getting decent collections in the multiplexes. A big film needs to arrive in the theaters to bring back the audiences.
