Telangana elections 2023: Congress takes lead after the first round

The voting has kickstarted at 7 AM in Telangana for the recently concluded elections. The postal ballot voting started at first and there is a clear indication that Congress will have an edge in the beginning. After 9 AM, the results of the first round of EVM counting started coming.

As per the latest information at 9:17 AM, Congress takes the lead in 60 constituencies while BRS is leading in 40 constituencies. BJP is leading in 5 and BRS-friendly party MIM is leading in 4 constituencies. The results will have a long time to come but Congress taking the lead initially is a big shock to the BRS party.

Looks like the anti-incumbency has shown its effect after 10 years. All the big players from different parties like KCR, KTR, Harish Rao, Uttam Kumar Reddy, and others are currently leading. Stay tuned for more updates on the election counting.
