It is well known that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be contesting from Pithapuram constituency and mega heroes are coming forward to support him. After Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej campaigned for Pawan Kalyan the other day, and the rally attracted huge crowds. During this campaign, Tej faced an unforeseen assault. Some thugs hurled water bottles and stones at Tej during the rally which happened at Thatiparthi, Kakinada. In this incident, a Jana Sena supporter named Sridhar was injured which almost took his eye.

Tej proceeded from Thatiparthi to Chinna Jaggampeta in a roadshow, where the YSRCP supporters attempted to create a nuisance throughout. Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan completely condemned the attack. He recalled similar incidents of violence directed at him in the past.

These types of attacks in political rallies will question the democracy in the state and also showcase the current state of administration in the state.
