Rajya Sabha Member Vemireddy quits YSR Congress
Sitting Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy today announced resignation from the primary membership of the YSR Congress. He has also resigned from his Rajya Sabha membership as well. However, Vemireddy’s Rajya Sabha membership is due to expire on April 2nd, 2024.
It is said that Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy is not happy with the changes made in the Nellore district unit. He is the president of the Nellore district unit of the party. Md Khaleel was named as the in charge of the Nellore Urban constituency. Prabhakar Reddy felt that he was not consulted before making this appointment. He was unhappy with YS Jagan’s decisions.
Even the supporters of Vemireddy felt that he was not given due respect in the party and after consulting his followers, the sitting Rajya Sabha member resigned from the party. The close sources reveal that Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy is going to join the Telugu Desam Party and will be fielded from the Nellore Lok Sabha constituency. He is going to meet Chandrababu Naidu in a week or so.
