No respite for Kavitha in Delhi Liquor Scam case

Kavitha's judicial custody extended till May 7th

Kavitha’s judicial custody extended till May 7th

There is no respite for Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of BRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao in the Delhi Liquor Scam case as the bail gets rejected. The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi refused to grant bail for BRS MLC Kavitha and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The court has ordered to extend the judicial custody till May 7th.

It is very well known that the Enforcement Directorate arrested Kavitha and Kejriwal for their alleged involvement in the above-mentioned case. ED produced them before the court and ED’s advocate Joyab Hussain appealed to the court not to grant bail and stated that she was arrested as per the law.

The court heard the arguments from both sides and decided to extend the judicial custody for a further 14 days. Both Kavitha and Kejriwal will be produced before the court on May 7th again.

Even the Central Bureau of Investigation appealed to the court not to grant bail to Kavitha as she is one of the prime accused and there is a danger of influencing the case proceedings if she gets bail. Kavitha’s bail plea verdict will be pronounced on May 2nd.
