New Zealand announce 16 member squad for T20 World Cup

The New Zealand Cricket Board always has some unique ways to make announcements. The last time squad announcement for the World Cup was made through the wives of the players and this time they have done it differently as well. New Zealand has become the first team to announce the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup that will be played in the USA and West Indies.

The squad has been announced by two teenagers Matilda and Agnus, has won hearts on social media. The management hasn’t made any major changes to the squad. Only two players missed out on the T20 World Cup 2022 squad when compared to the current.

Kane Williamson will lead the side once again. Finn Allen, Trent Boult, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee. Ben Sears will be traveling reserve.

Kane Williamson will be playing his sixth T20 World Cup (4th as captain), Tim Southee his 7th, and Trent Boult his 5th.
