Mohammed Shami underwent surgery in London on Monday on his Achilles tendon. This part has been bothering him since the World Cup. Shami has today updated that the recovery process is on and it will take some time. He expressed confidence to resume his cricketing journey very soon.
“Looking forward to getting back on my feet,” Shami wrote in his post. He even posted a picture from the hospital bed. Mohammed Shami was last seen in the competitive cricket in the World Cup final held on November 19th.
He has been rested for the South Africa tour and missed the home T20I series against Afghanistan and the ongoing 5-match test series against England. With the surgery done and the recovery process on, it could be confirmed that he will be missing the IPL 2024 and is even doubtful for the T20 World Cup that will commence in June.
