Judgement reserved on Chandrababu Naidu’s bail petition
The Andhra Pradesh High Court today reserved the verdict today in the bail petition of Telugu Desam Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The advocates from both sides placed their arguments before the court which longed for around five hours. Additional advocate general Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy argued on behalf of the AP CID. Senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra argued for Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Siddharth Luthra stated that the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu has a political angle and alleged that the AP government is trying to keep Mr. Naidu in jail before the 2024 general elections. Sudhakar Reddy on the other hand argued that Naidu violated the rules of the bail conditions and took out on a rally from Rajahmundry Central jail.
He said that the case is currently in the final stages and Mr. Naidu should be in jail at this moment, said Sudhakar. Siddharth Luthra on the other hand has also presented his points and asked for bail. He told the court to consider the age and health of Chandrababu Naidu and grant the bail.
