Jasprit Bumrah to be rested for fourth test

India is comfortably placed at 2-1 after the end of the Rajkot test. It is the biggest of the margins for Team India in their test history and England will look for answers for their batting approach, especially in the second innings of the third test.

The fourth test between India and England will be played in Ranchi which starts on February 23rd. India’s pace leader Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be rested for the third test but he played and proved to be a vital cog. He bowled 80.5 overs in the test and also batted sensibly in the first innings.

As a part of the workload management, Bumrah who is the leading wicket-taker in the series with 17 wickets is going to be rested. He will not be taking part in the Ranchi test and will not travel with the team. As per the information, he will go to Ahmedabad instead.

Whether Bumrah joins the Dharamshala test will be a decision that will be taken depending on the outcome of the Ranchi test.
